At this point a Friday snow storm is not looking great. Its my birthday so im hoping for a little b-day magic. At this time its looking like maybe a some frezing rain. As for now there is a major storm going through the mid-west headed for the north east.
This storm is so intense that it has caused 9 states to have blizzard warnings. To show the dynamics of this storm in Houston tx was at 72 degrees after the cold front went through in 17 min it have fallen to 51. There has been tons reports of thunder and lightning during heavy snow.
The good thing for us is that we are south east of the low putting us on the warm side by noon time wed the rain should be out of our area and should be sunny and warm. Enjoy the day because some more cold air is on the way and rain maybe some frozen precip on Friday.
This is a blog about the weather in North Carolina specifically in the Piedmont.

This week is not a thriller. There is a surface low that will pass to the west of the mountains putting us on the warm side of the storm bringing some rain. There is however a chance for a low pressure to develop on the tail end of the cold front. If this happens we could see some snow Thursday night into Friday. ( Friday is my birthday so that would be cool). anyways this is what the week looks like:
I'll keep you posted about the chance for snow. Its all hype right now.
